“I realized then, and have known ever since, that there was something new to me in those eyes — something known only to her and to the mountain”

-Aldo Leopold, “Thinking Like a Mountain”

All sales are final including appointment booking, custom drawings, prints, and other tangible goods.

I know inspiration and copying is a large part of tattoo culture. I too use popular motifs, themes, & styles but I try hard to create original artwork for my flash. Many are also based on my own real life observations or pictures I have taken. By using this website, you are agreeing to not steal my designs exactly, though reasonable variations are welcome!

FOR TATTOOS

Payment

  • Appointments require a non-refundable deposit to reserve the time slot.
  • Flash can be booked immediately by adding either “Line & Pepper” or “Color” (according to preference) to cart and completing the steps required for checkout.
  • Custom requests require an additional design fee. Add “Custom Drawing” of the desired size to cart and checkout to start a conversation. Designs must be finalized and as well as the total cost agreed upon before booking an appointment.
  • Total cost of flash tattoos can be found in the product description. Custom tattoo pricing depends on factors such as the complexity of the design, use of color, size but is generally proportionally comparable to my flash prices.
  • ID required, waiver must be read and filled out before your appointment.
  • The tattoo must be paid in full (minus the cost of the deposit) at the time of the appointment.

Before your arrive

  • Get a good night’s sleep.
  • Eat a hearty meal beforehand (getting tattooed on an empty stomach may cause nausea), hydrate (drink water), & moisturize the area in the days leading up to the appointment.
  • If body hair in the area is long- please clip (not shave) it closer to the skin, careful not to cut or abrade skin.
  • Pick comfy, ok-to-stain clothes that will allow access to the area being tattooed (i.e. tank top, shorts).
  • Recommended: snacks, water, headphones & a pillow.

House Rules

  • Please let me know of any discomfort / if you need to take a break. Feel free to ask questions about the tattoo process.
  • Phones must be on silent or connected to headphones to minimize distractions, from tattoo start to end.
  • No video recording, photos can be taken with permission and are subject to approval by me, if intending on sharing to social media (for privacy reasons- the studio is part of my home)
  • Bring yourself only- no accompanying friends, children, pets, etc.

Aftercare advice

  • Tattoos may take 3 months to fully heal, with the first 2 days being the most crucial.
  • In the first 3 weeks after tattooing, be especially careful to avoid sun exposure, sweating, and submersion in water (damage and infection can harm the skin to varying degrees as well as affect tattoo results).
  • Do not apply sunscreen/cosmetics during healing and avoid tight clothing on the area. Rather, opt for loose SPF clothing as that will offer the best protection.
  • DO NOT PICK SCABS or apply hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol to the tattoo (can cause ink to get pulled out and leave scars).
  • By 1-2 weeks post tattooing, there should be no more redness or swelling. Continued inflammation may indicate infection requiring medical attention.
  • When flaking & peeling has finished, sunscreen of at least 60 SPF can be applied every 2 hours if planning on swimming or otherwise exposing the area.
  • Wait to resume muscle-specific exercises that affect the tattooed area for 1 month after tattooing to prevent warping.

Aftercare instructions

Traditional:

  • Aim to remove bandage within 2-6 hours when you have access to clean, lukewarm water. Gently wash with unscented antibacterial soap and rinse thoroughly, pat completely dry with a clean paper towel, and wait 10 minutes before applying a thin layer of healing ointment (i.e. Mad Rabbit soothing gel, Hustle Butter, Bacitracin Zinc Oxide ointment, Vitamin A&D ointment, Aquaphor). Do not overapply ointment as the skin needs to be able to breathe. Repeat 1-3x a day.
  • Between 3-7 days after tattooing, when the tattoo starts to peel or flake. switch to an unscented, petroleum-free moisturizer (i.e. Lubriderm, CeraVe, Aveeno, Eucerine). Pimples may be a sign the lotion is too heavy and you should switch to a lighter moisturizer in that case. Quick showers are ok.

Second skin:

  • There are a variety of “second skin” products such as Saniderm, Derm Shield, etc. The common method is to leave the first application on for 24 hours, remove it, clean and dry the tattoo, and reapply a new sheet(s) which will be left on for 4-5 days. I do not apply a second skin in my studio in case of an allergic reaction to the adhesive but if you choose to apply one at home yourself, the way to remove it is to pull it away from itself like a command strip (not towards itself like a band-aid) under lukewarm running water.
